(click link above for Bus Fest) We go as often as possible to meet up with friends and it is here we set up our travel display so that others can see where we have been and maybe give them ideas about their own travel. It is here I saw the syncro up close for the first time since seeing one at the Bristol Ballon festival in 1990 driven by the Guinness Ballooning team as their recovery vehicle. We had our Californian orange bay window at the time (2005) but its heating in UK winter was hopeless. So at (Van) now Busfest I saw a 16 inch syncro that had been to S America and Han and I decided to purchase one of these water boxers ASAP. After viewing vehicles on-line in Germany our current Syncro, a VW Joker 2.1 petrol came up via a website and it was in Pool, Dorset. It has been a great vehicle and although 30 years old in 2016 it still provides great service. This year (2016) we managed also to sell some more copies of my book entitled Inshalla and also we were interviewed by German TV which was a change to be in front of the camera rather than behind it.
